CATEGORIES

All participation will be represented by contingents from various Branch Campus/Faculty/Centre/Department etc.

Participation is open to all Staff and Students under the following groups:

  • Inventor I
    Academicians and postgraduate students from all higher education institutions or agencies.
  • Inventor II
    Non-academicians from higher education institutions or agencies.
  • Young Inventor
    Undergraduate students from all higher education institutions.
  • Junior Inventor
    Primary and secondary school students from government or private school/collage.

REGISTRATION

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Each participation will comprise of one (1) Project Leader and a maximum of Four (4)
    • Project Members. The Project Leader must be either a Staff or Student of that respective institution.
    • If the participation exceeds 5 members, each additional member will be charged RM 20, with a maximum of eight members per entry.
  • Any additional of project members or change of name is not allowed after the closing date.
  • Any amendments to the project title or category is not allowed after the closing date.
  • Any staff who is on study leave should register under the STUDENT category.
  • The invention/innovation/design can be an outcome of a PhD, Master, undergraduate Final Year Project or research work.
  • Collaborative research projects with industry partners are highly encouraged.
  • There is no limit to the number of packages for each contingent.
  • Regardless of the number of participants, the package fee remains the same.

GUIDELINE FOR VIDEO PRESENTATION

  • The video presentation should be in English, up to 5 minutes duration and compatible with YouTube format (MP4/MOV/AVI). Penalty will be imposed if presentation exceeds the time limit.
  • Video presentation should be submitted before 31 August 2020. Changes are not allowed once files have been uploaded.
  • Each participant is responsible for information and material submitted in PHARM-IIDEx 2020. Should there is any violation of intellectual property rights, PHARM-IIDEx 2020 assumes no liability for such infringement.

 e-CERTIFICATE

  • All participants will be given an individual e-certificate of participation (Project Leader & Project Members).
  • All winners will be awarded with only one e-certificate.
  • All participants from school will receive the e-certificate.
  • Participants will be charged for additional request of hard copy certificate (RM 10 each excluding the courier charge).

JUDGING CRITERIA

Judging is based on the following criteria:

  1. novelty and creativity
  2. applicability of the innovation
  3. significant of the project
  4. commercialization potential
  5. video presentation

Judges will evaluate the products as per registered category. The judge’s decision is final and no disputes/appeals will be entertained.

Temu duga bagi semua program di bawah Fakulti Farmasi, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) tidak dapat dilaksanakan secara bersemuka bagi Sesi Akademik 1 2020/2021.  Perkara ini ekoran daripada Pandemik COVID-19 yang tertakluk kepada Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) sebagaimana yang diwartakan oleh Kerajaan Malaysia.

Bagi tujuan penilaian calon, saudara/saudari yang telah memenuhi syarat permohonan dikehendaki menjawab Penilaian secara atas Talian serta memuatnaik Dokumen Sokongan melalui pautan Google Form yang disediakan.

  1. PENILAIAN ATAS TALIAN
    1. Calon perlu menduduki penilaian melalui pautan capaian yang dimuatnaik di https://qrgo.page.link/i9iuT pada 3 Jun 2020. Tempoh masa pautan akan aktif adalah bermula dari 3 Jun 2020 sehingga 8 Jun 2020. 
    2.  Calon dikehendaki menjawab TIGA (3) komponen penilaian yang dikemukakan dalam tempoh masa yang diberikan.. 
    3. Komponen penilaian adalah seperti berikut:
      1. Ujian Atas Talian
      2. Rakaman Suara
      3. Panggilan Suara/Video
    4. Calon hanya boleh menjawab sekali sahaja untuk semua komponen penilaian ini. Calon akan dibahagikan kepada kumpulan kecil bagi sesi menjawab soalan. Senarai kumpulan akan disediakan di link yang sama.
    5. Sila pastikan nombor telefon yang dimasukkan adalah nombor yang boleh dihubungi dan dilengkapi dengan kemudahan panggilan video (whatsapp/etc).
    6. Kegagalan melengkapkan penilaian ini akan menyebabkan saudara/saudari tidak akan dipertimbangkan sebagai calon jaya.

  2. DOKUMEN YANG PERLU DIMUATNAIK
    Calon perlu membuat Salinan dokumen sokongan dan dihantar melalui pautan Google Form di  https://forms.gle/42sanY2HjrYE4bWK7 sebelum/pada 8 Jun 2020. Senarai dokumen yang diperlukan adalah seperti berikut:-
    1. Surat Panggilan Temu Duga
    2. Sijil Diploma/Matrikulasi/Asasi/PASUM/STPM
    3. Sijil SPM
    4. Keputusan MUET
    5. Sijil kelahiran
    6. Kad Pengenalan
    7. Sijil kelahiran dan kad pengenalan ibu dan bapa
    8. CV/Resume calon terkini

Kegagalan menghantar dokumen sokongan yang lengkap akan menyebabkan saudara/saudari tidak dipertimbangkan sebagai calon jaya.

Semua dokumen yang dimuatnaik adalah dengan kerelaan calon dan hanya akan digunakan untuk tujuan permohonan kemasukan ke UiTM sahaja. UiTM berhak menolak permohonan calon sekiranya didapati calon/pelajar mengemukakan dokumen palsu. (akan dihalusi oleh PUU UiTM)

There will be two different categories for this year's program. 1st category, teenagers 13-16 years old and 2nd category is for children age 7-12 years old. Jom Sains is full of fun hands-on science activities for the kids.
