The Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM houses individual faculty research laboratories, as well as shared resources within the Faculty. The use of facilities and instrumentation for teaching and research can be arranged. The instrumentation facilities include Multi Purpose General, Brain, BPET, CDDR, MAREG, MRL & Wound Healing Labs.
- Multi Purpose General: Laboratories are mainly used for teaching and learning of Bachelor of Pharmacy students.
- Brain & BPET Lab: Laboratory research for postgraduate students, final year students of Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honors) and lecturers. Main focus of current research project is to carry out research in related fields of Animal Physiology, Molecular Biology, Genotyping of Alzheimer’s disease, Neuroprotective effects of natural compounds and local endophytic metabolites
- Marine Pharmaceutical Research Group Lab (MAREG): Laboratory research for postgraduate students, final year students of Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honors) and research lecturers. Main function of this laboratory is to carry out research in related fields of "Isolation and Extraction of Endophytic Fungi”.
- Miroaelgae Research Lab (MRL): Laboratory research for postgraduate students, final year students of Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honors) and research lecturers. Main focus of current research project is to carry out research in related fields "Isolation and cultivation of microalgae with biopharmaceutical and biofuel value.
- Wound Healing Lab: Laboratory research for postgraduate students, final year students of Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honors) and research lecturers Main focus of current research project is to carry out research in related fields of "In-vivo and in-vitro of anti malaria screening”.
- Collaborative Drug Discovery Research Group Lab (CDDR): Laboratory research for postgraduate students, final year students of Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honors) and research lecturers. Main focus of current research project is to carry out research in related fields of Probiotic and prebiotics as functional food (anti-cancer and neuroprotection), Anticancer agents and underlying mechanisms (pro-apoptosis and anti-angiogenesis), Microbial metabolites as neuroprotective agents, Pharmacoeconomics of antifungal agents and Diabetic self-care management programme.
