On 12th January 2022, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia organized a webinar with a renowned speaker who is also one of the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) panel reviewers in the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Professor Dato’ Dr Mohamed Isa Abdul Majid. His 1.5-hour talk on “Winning FRGS Proposal from the Perspective of a Panel Reviewer” explained numerous methods and tips on how to write an effective FRGS proposal which would be valuable for the grant applicants.
The webinar was conducted online via the Cisco Webex Meeting platform and managed to attract 57 researchers from various faculties of UiTM, namely Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Applied Science, Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, as well as Faculty of Civil Engineering. The organizers hope this webinar could help researchers to improve the quality of their FRGS proposals, thus increasing the chances of getting grant approval.
