15th WORKSHOP ON LABORATORY RODENTS (RATS AND MICE) CARE AND USE 2022: The 15th Workshop on Laboratory Rodents (Rats and Mice) Care and Use was organized by Laboratory Animal Facility and Management (LAFAM), Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM Puncak Alam. A total of 30 researchers from UiTM (Faculty of Pharmacy &, Faculty of Medicine), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Industrial Biotechnology Research Centre (IBRC), SIRIM Berhad and Monash University Malaysia participated in this workshop. The purpose of this workshop that is conducted annually is to highlight the importance of care and use of laboratory rodents in research, to provide training on clinical procedures on laboratory rodents such as restraining, oral gavage, bleeding techniques, anesthesia and euthanasia. This provides a guide to researchers on animal ethics application and the care post workshop. This workshop is organized with blended lectures and hands-on practical conducted by well-known experts in the field of rodent’s husbandry, management, behavior, medicine, surgery and post mortem.
