16th WORKSHOP ON LABORATORY RODENTS (RATS AND MICE) CARE AND USE 2022: The 16th Workshop on Laboratory Rodents (Rats and Mice) Care and Use was organised by Laboratory Animal Facility and Management (LAFAM), Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM Puncak Alam. A total of 27 researchers from UiTM (Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Science, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Applied Science), Rumah Haiwan Fakulti Sains Dan Teknologi Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARC), Sunway University and Management Science University (MSU) participated in this workshop. This annual workshop is conducted to highlight the importance of care and use of laboratory rodents in research and to provide training on how to conduct procedures on laboratory rodents such as restraining, oral gavage, bleeding techniques, anesthesia, and euthanasia. This provides a guide to researchers on animal ethics applications and the care post workshop. This workshop is organised with blended lectures and hands-on practical conducted by well-known experts in the fields of rodent husbandry, management, behavior, medicine, surgery, and post mortem.
