This programme was a one-day collaborative programme between the Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM, VISTAS, Chennai, India and Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), United Kingdom. Students and academicians from all three institutions attended the event, which provided training for 40 inbound students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at VISTAS. The speakers were Prof. Dr. Wong Tin Wui, from the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM, Prof. Dr. Sathesh Kumar from VISTAS and Prof. Dr. Raghu Raj Singh Thakur from QUB. Participants were taught about the current trends in formulation and drug development. Series 2: Students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at UiTM were attached for a one-day training with VISTAS as part of this initiative. This programme imparted knowledge about "nanodrug delivery systems" to pharmacy students and academic staff. This webinar on nanoparticles mainly concentrated on current developments in nanoformulations for neurodegenerative disorders. VISTAS trained 60 outbound students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM, alongside 180 other participants. The speakers were Prof. Dr. Shanmugasundaram P., Prof. Dr. Sathes Kumar, Prof. Dr. Shanmugarajan from VISTAS, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanish Singh Jayasingh Chellammal from the Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM. Besides learning about nanoparticle formulations for neurodegenerative illnesses, students also relished a hands-on session of in vivo nanoparticle evaluations.
