Toastmaster is an annual event hosted by the Society of Pharmacy Students(SOPHYS) every semester. It was held on every Wednesday weekly unless there were any unavoidable circumstances like mid-term test and public holiday. However, Toastmaster Grand Finale which was a combination of week 11 and 12 session was being held on Friday’s night 18th June 2021. It was attended by 100 audiences. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held virtually through Google Meet. 

This event was held to provide a platform for faculty pharmacy students to improve their English communication skills in sharing ideas, knowledges and information in front of a crowd. From this program, the pharmacy students can also learn new knowledges either related to pharmacy field or outside of their course.

The objective of this event was to improve pharmacy student’s English communication skills in sharing ideas, knowledges and information while being in front of the crowd. Besides, it also aims to increase pharmacy student’s braveness when doing public speaking. Moreover, from this program we can produce a generation which are not only well educated in their respective profession but are also well equipped in others knowledge too.
