On 26th March until 27th of March 2022, Taylor’s University Pharmacy Students’ Society (TUPSS) in collaboration with Malaysia Pharmacy Student Association (MyPSA) has conducted an event named 5th MyPSA National Pharmacy Research Competition (NPRC) 2022. This event was conducted virtually for the second time due to Covid-19 pandemic which limits the participants to have a face to face session. UiTM managed to send eight participants consist of year 4 students which comes from batch Rx17.
The purpose of this event is to develop creative thinking, communication skills, organizing skills and leadership skills among students, to stay in line with novel scientific research and pharmaceutical research priorities and to inculcate a culture of research among pharmacy students.
The mechanism of this event comprises of 2 rounds. 1st round is where participants will present posters which summarize their research work followed by Q&A session. Next, 2nd round is where participants will have PowerPoint slide presentations in front of judges and audience followed by Q&A session.
For Category 1 (Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Practice), Sharmela A/P Sivamoorthy (UKM) has won the 1st place, Nur Adlina binti Saharuddin (UiTM) has won the 2nd place and Muhammad Rasydan bin Buchek (UKM) has won the 3rd place. Congratulations to the winners especially to our UiTM’s student (Nur Adlina binti Saharuddin). Students from UiTM have done their best. UiTM participants’ efforts are truly appreciated.
