“OPTIMIZATION OF STUNTING PREVENTION TO INVEST IN ACHIEVERS GENERATION”

From 25th of April to 31 May in 2022, Universitas Dutabangsa, Indonesia organized an international program called the 2nd Icohex 2022 International Competition On Health And Student Exchange with the theme “Optimization Of Stunting Prevention To Invest In Achievers Generation”. The program includes activities such as webinars which focus on stunting among children and talent competitions including song cover, dance, and oral speech competition. There are also other interesting competitions like poster, essay, creative video competition in addition to the learning video competition, which are all conducted online. There is no fee to join the webinars and competitions for the UiTM students as there is an MOU signed between both universities.

UiTM participated in the event as a co-host and Dr Salafarina Ramli from Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Chemistry of Faculty of Pharmacy UiTM is one of the speakers during the forum “Prevention and Reduction of Stunting”. The Faculty of Pharmacy of UiTM Puncak Alam sent four students to participate in the song cover competition. Three of the students are the students from part four while one of them is from part two. Our students placed second in the song cover competition and won prizes and trophies. They also get certificates of achievement.

More students should join this kind of international program as it provides a platform to the students from majors related to health in UiTM Puncak Alam to showcase hidden talent, encourage pharmacy students to communicate and build relationships online with more students from diverse backgrounds. Last but not least, cultivating identity, courage and confidence within the students themselves through involvement in academic outdoor activities.
