The Society of Pharmacy Students, in partnership with Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti Farmasi (SMF), organised the RxSPORT Carnival. The purpose of the three-day programme, ran from 9 to December 11, 2022, was to give both students and faculty staff a platform to foster an active and healthy lifestyle. In addition to that, this program aimed to strengthen the relationship between students and staff. Futsal, badminton, netball, basketball, and frisbee are just a few of the thrilling sports that have taken place. Furthermore, electronic sports, better known as 'E-Sports' that are popular among the community were also contested, including Mobile Legends, Valorant, PUBG and Pes Mobile.
A futsal match for women was held on the first day of RxSPORT Carnival. It was challenging to predict the victor of the final match between years two and year three owing to its intensity. However, year three students were able to prove themselves and became victorious in the futsal match for women. E-Sports competitions for games like PUBG AND were also taking place at the same time. Two sporting events were held on the second day. The badminton match was held at Dewan Serbaguna, while the futsal match was held at Sports 88 Centre. Both games included the alumni. The final year students (RX18) ultimately took first place in badminton, while alumni triumphed in the futsal match in the men’s category. The E-Sports games Valorant and Pes Mobile were being held at night. Frisbee and netball were the two sports being played on the last day. The netball competition was indeed a competitive one. The final-year students were able to demonstrate their abilities once more and take first place. The second-year student won first place in the frisbee competition, making their daily preparation worthwhile.
The awards ceremony was officiated by Professor Dato’ Dr. Abu Bakar Abdul Majeed, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM. The third-year students were the overall winners of the RxSPORT Carnival 2022. The RxSPORT 2022 programme met all its objectives and is a good start to promoting a healthy lifestyle.
