The Dean’s List Award ceremony is an annual event held as a manifestation of the faculty's appreciation and recognition of the students achieving excellent academic performance. This year, the meaningful event was held on 9th November 2022 at the DK500, Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM involving the total number of award recipients of 90 and 47 of semester 2 (2021/2022) and semester 1 (session 2022/2023) respectively.

During the event, the Dean, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abu Bakar Abdul Majeed conveyed his appreciation to the lecturers, administrative and laboratory staff as well as to the parents and family members for the hard work and continuous support shown in adapting to the different teaching and learning approaches implemented during the pandemic.

The ceremony also celebrated the outstanding students who have participated in various national and international competitions including tennis, basketball, e-sports and pharmacy research. The recognition of students’ achievements in various curriculum areas is in line with the faculty's aspiration to produce competitive, talented and holistic pharmacy graduates.

The Dean’s List Award ceremony was co-jointly held with the White Coat ceremony. The annual event of the White Coat ceremony celebrates students’ transition from the foundation stage to their specialisation and emphasises students’ commitment to the values of the field of pharmacy. This event was participated by about 184 first-year students, where the Dean delightfully shared the joy of wearing the white coats to the students to mark the new beginning of the student’s academic journey.

It is hoped that the excellence and aspiration celebrated through the Dean’s List Award and White Coat ceremonies will pave the way towards the transformation of highly competent and skillful pharmacists-in-training.
