TEAM BUILDING SHOWS THE ABILITY, MOTIVATIONS AND ATTITUDE OF PHARMACY STUDENTS IN WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE  AND HOW WELL THEY MANAGE EVERY WORKS GIVEN

The largest gathering of three societies representative from Faculty of  Pharmacy students including Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP), Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti (SMF) and Society of Pharmacy Students (SOPHYS) was held to build a teamwork that is vital part of any society because in the end teamwork comes down to a better cooperation and communication. The programme that participated by 80 students was held from 28th of February until 1st March 2020. They also had spent one day at Dewan Kuliah (DK) 9 Faculty of Pharmacy and two  days at Yeop Village, Hulu Langat, Selangor.

The main purpose of the 3 days programme is to beat the animosity between the team members. Not only it will add some fun element but will also wash away any grudges or miscommunications between the team members. Team productivity depend big time upon the good fellowship between the team members. If the team members get along with each other, are aware about the strengths and weaknesses, the work that been performed together automatically becomes better. If the team members are happy from within, the team productivity and efficiency will automatically shoot up. This is because when different people are working within a team, there is possibility that not everyone will like each other.

Apart from management skills among team works include the capacity to perform executive duties in an organization while avoiding crisis situations and promptly solving problems when they occur, various fun activities were held such as jungle trekking, obstacles, nightwalk and masakan rimba. The program director, Wan Anwar said taking a team outside of  faculty and college setting and exposing them to new experiences will force them to think outside of their normal routine. Working together with other team members can ignite creativity and fresh ideas, which are great qualities to team management. Meanwhile assistant director Narisya Othman add, in public relations a crisis can happen at any time. Team building activities that require co-workers to work together to solve problems can improve the ability to think rationally and strategically. Teams that are able to determine when a problem arises and know what they can do about it, can effectively apply their skills when a real crisis occurs.
